Pacific Sea Turtle Programme
This project is located on Playa Drake in the Osa Península of Costa Rica. Pacific Sea turtle populations are critically endangered throughout the world, and this project is working hard to conserve and protect the Olive Ridley Sea Turtles in this part of Costa Rica.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are needed from July to December for 2 to 12 weeks in duration, every year.
Volunteers are needed to take part in:
Performing night surveys on the beach to find nesting turtles
Moving nests to the hatchery.
Monitoring eggs and baby turtles.
Tagging female turtles.
Collecting biometric data on the beach.
Releasing baby turtles into the ocean.
Helping with local conservation education projects.
Requirements:
In good physical condition;
Able to tolerate hot and rainy weather;
Speak English and basic Spanish;
Over 18 years old;
Be committed to nature conservation and animal protection;
Positive attitude towards working with people from different countries.

Cost
The cost for 2 weeks is £385, 3 weeks is £460, and 4 weeks is £525, and 12 weeks is £1285. Please email
